Brain Games with the Channel

Brain Games can be defined as an activity where the dog needs to use his cognitive skills in order to achieve a prize. Typically, these games involve hiding food in various objects and letting the dog figure out how to get the food out.
The Channel can also be used for a brain game. By setting up a maze and then strategically placing food or a toy within the maze, the dog must figure out how to get to the reward. He will use his nose and other senses to accomplish this.
In addition to working the brain, this activity can also boost your dog's confidence as he becomes successful in his endeavors.
I recommend starting with a very basic setup with one or two turns before moving on to more complicated configurations.
Not only is this great for your young pup, it can be a great activity for a dog who may be recovering from injury (with a vet's release to such activity) or for your older dog who may not get as much stimulation as he once did.
In this video, my three dogs demonstrate their ability to navigate a fairly simple setup.
Their ages range from 3 to 16+ years.
What configurations will you come up with?
